Hi there! I’m Maya (she/her), a Taiwanese-American high schooler, writer, and artist based in the Bay Area.
With my love of writing from the start and a strong work ethic, I have climbed the ranks at students x students to become our CEO. My work at students x students allows me to spread the joy of writing to other students and aligns with my goal of amplifying the voices of smart, bright, and innovative teens with so much to say to the world. I’m so grateful for this opportunity to lead youth forward and be a part of something much bigger than myself.
I’m a member of my school’s student Senate and run cross country and track & field. During my free time, you might find me drawing or painting (especially portraits), curled up with a good book (probably fiction), writing (creative writing, poetry, or maybe a Medium article!), hanging out with friends, watching movies or TV, traveling, or listening to music! I’m a lifelong lover of Harry Potter, Star Wars, Hamilton, and good food.

Hi there! My name is Srinija Chukkapalli (she/her). I’m a high school freshman from Florida, USA. I heard about students x students through another organization I volunteer as a math tutor with, UPchieve. I joined students x students as a content creator because I’m passionate about writing and believe that students have unique ideas, opinions, and knowledge that deserve to be expressed. I am a huge space enthusiast and hope to work with NASA one day. I enjoy reading, writing, playing piano, public speaking, and engaging in community service (like tutoring/teaching youth) in my free time. I used to blog with WordPress (an activity that built my love and interest for writing as a whole), but I’m looking towards a fresh start with Medium. While my first love will always be writing, I’m an avid dancer, reader, and volunteer. When I’m free, you’ll catch me either playing the piano or doodling aimlessly with my headphones plugged in at full blast.

With the advice of my seniors, I started writing on Medium, then stumbled across students x students which gave me a chance to make my voice heard. I am a very ardent equalist and mythology writer, for whom inspiration strikes at the weirdest of times. For me writing is like a suspense movie, you don’t know what’s going to happen next, like a rollercoaster with too many twists and turns and for me that’s the thrill of it.

Hey! My name is Sophia Wang (she/her), and I’m a sophomore based on the East Coast. I first found students x students from another member formerly based at my school, and I’m beyond grateful to be joining the social media and publication teams! I first started writing after a NaNoWriMo 2022 attempt. While I wasn’t able to meet the word count goal, I fell in love with the art of writing. I love to read any genre of book, but I look up to the works of Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, and Andy Weir. Aside from writing, some of my hobbies include art, reading, and vinyl collecting. I’m a big fan of music, especially genres like indie rock, shoegaze, and dark folk. I’m also a huge fan of Marine Science, and I adore any type of sharks and rays.

I’m a total structure nerd, so I like things organized. It makes everything easier.
