Hi there! I’m Maya (she/her), a Taiwanese-American high schooler, writer, and artist based in the Bay Area.
With my love of writing from the start and a strong work ethic, I have climbed the ranks at students x students to become our CEO. My work at students x students allows me to spread the joy of writing to other students and aligns with my goal of amplifying the voices of smart, bright, and innovative teens with so much to say to the world. I’m so grateful for this opportunity to lead youth forward and be a part of something much bigger than myself.
I’m a member of my school’s student Senate and run cross country and track & field. During my free time, you might find me drawing or painting (especially portraits), curled up with a good book (probably fiction), writing (creative writing, poetry, or maybe a Medium article!), hanging out with friends, watching movies or TV, traveling, or listening to music! I’m a lifelong lover of Harry Potter, Star Wars, Hamilton, and good food.

Hi there! My name is Srinija Chukkapalli (she/her). I’m a high school freshman from Florida, USA. I heard about students x students through another organization I volunteer as a math tutor with, UPchieve. I joined students x students as a content creator because I’m passionate about writing and believe that students have unique ideas, opinions, and knowledge that deserve to be expressed. I am a huge space enthusiast and hope to work with NASA one day. I enjoy reading, writing, playing piano, public speaking, and engaging in community service (like tutoring/teaching youth) in my free time. I used to blog with WordPress (an activity that built my love and interest for writing as a whole), but I’m looking towards a fresh start with Medium. I’m excited to work with students x students and to be a part of this team and publication!
Feel free to check out my Medium profile: @schukkapalli

Hello! I’m Mihika Kiran, a freshman from North Carolina. My friends led me to become a part of the students x students community, and I’m endlessly grateful for this opportunity. I absolutely cannot wait to embark on this journey as the CGO at students x students, and I’m ready to enjoy every aspect of it.
While my first love will always be writing, I’m an avid dancer, reader, and volunteer. When I’m free, you’ll catch me either playing the piano or doodling aimlessly with my headphones plugged in at full blast.
You’ll also find me at events and awareness societies for multiple nonprofits — I love to give back to my community.

Hey you guys! My name is Karthik Mittal. Writing has always been a passion of mine ever since I was little. When I heard about Medium and its possibilities, I immediately hopped onto the website and started writing articles. Check out some of my articles here! I write on a variety of different topics, including emerging technologies and personal growth! I co-founded students x students with the intent of providing an accessible platform that students can access to not only spread their article to interested student viewers but also explore their writing interests. Being a high schooler myself, I don’t see many opportunities for students to delve into creative writing, so I co-founded this publication with the intent of letting students post whatever their heart desires! Aside from writing, I also like to play tennis, read books, play music, and more! Excited to meet all of you!

Hey, I’m Ariv. I am a current junior at UCLA. I first got a real taste of the power of writing when I decided to write my own piece on Medium. The comments and reactions to it were so unexpected and it dawned on me how impactful a simple 1700 word piece of writing could be. I decided, on impulse, to write another one, this time concerning a topic I’d been thinking about quite a lot. Again I noticed people actually took away something from it. Then came the thought, “where are the rest of my peers?” They are as much if not more interesting than me, and what they have to say is so powerful. Out of this question, students x students was born. I’ve loved making people happy all my life and my goal is to help make a whole lot of people happier and more comfortable with themselves, helping them realize people share their perspective on things and they should feel proud of who they are. Aside from writing, I love getting outdoors with my peers through Outdoors Club & creating movies on Youtube. Looking forward to meeting and learning from you :)

Hey guys! I’m Aditya. I always knew writing was the best way to express your thoughts to the world, but I never knew how wide of an audience I could reach until I found Medium. I first wrote about quantum computing, but soon wrote about a variety of other topics, such as artificial intelligence and my own personal experiences (and some of these articles even got published on top publications!) After a while, I realized that many of my fellow classmates didn’t know about this incredible opportunity to share their knowledge with the world. That’s why I founded students x students, a publication that exclusively allows students to make their impact in the world through writing. I hope this publication can give you the same joy I had when I first started writing on Medium! Outside of writing, I enjoy playing music and running my company, Neuralyte. Excited to talk to you all and learn more about you!

With the advice of my seniors, I started writing on Medium, then stumbled across students x students which gave me a chance to make my voice heard. I am a very ardent equalist and mythology writer, for whom inspiration strikes at the weirdest of times. For me writing is like a suspense movie, you don’t know what’s going to happen next, like a rollercoaster with too many twists and turns and for me that’s the thrill of it.

Writing has always been a hobby of mine where I can delve deep into my thoughts and explore them. I am really looking forward to being an editor for students x students!

Hi, I’m Anvi Nambiar, and I’m so excited to be part of the students x students team! I’m currently in Grade 10 and live in Ontario. I joined students x students because of the creative freedom and purpose it offers — I want to use my voice to connect with others and create meaningful change. I’ve always been someone who thrives on self-expression and creativity. Whether it’s drawing, cooking, or writing, I love exploring new ideas and finding unique ways to connect with the world. As someone who aspires to become a lawyer — or maybe even a pediatrician — I’m deeply motivated by my passion for helping people. I love working one-on-one with others and building relationships that make a real difference, whether it’s advocating for fairness or supporting someone who needs help. Over time, I’ve realized how many of us share similar doubts and dreams. That’s why I joined this team: I want to share perspectives that make people feel seen, understood, and supported. For me, it’s not just about creativity — it’s about creating meaningful connections and making sure no one feels alone in their journey.

Hey! I’m Ayat, a Grade 11 student who’s super into all things creative and driven by curiosity. I came across SXS through the website and instantly knew I wanted to be part of it, it just felt like my kind of space. I love being around passionate people doing cool, meaningful things, and that’s exactly what SXS is about.
Some of my favorite things? Journaling (scrapbooking, bullet journaling, junk journaling, I’m obsessed), reading, skiing, photography, traveling, experimenting with latte art, and finding ways to move and stay active. I could go on all day, but I’ll stop here… I’m always up for trying something new or diving into a random interest!

I’m just an ordinary student with an extraordinary love for learning, life, and the world around me and what it has to offer. Over the past few years, this love of exploration had led me to a lot of projects.
One of them being writing: what started with a school magazine eventually brought me to Medium, and Medium led me to students x students. I immediately knew this was something I wanted to be part of — a space that reflects my values.
